Extra's
pack Before
you install Projek01 on you're system:
Postponed changes:
- The OOBE
will be changed to use the XP OOBE (Out-of-Box Experience) in a
later revision 3.x update.
- AuthXP
will be replacing the aging CLH_GINA project that is currently
running in a later revision 3.x update.
Changes
from Public Beta Revision 2.2:
- Windows
Update has been returned with Update Manager for Windows (WuMgr)
with automatic updates disabled.
- Windhawk service now starts at boot instead
of at login, improving some mods when possible.
- The Start menu now has separators, fixed
chevrons and fixed an issue with multicolumn shell menus expanding
endlessly which all of them was buggy at the time.
- MSN Explorer shortcut is now “MSN” like on
real XP SP2.
- Computer Management snap-ins now uses XP
era icons.
- Added an Immersive App Launcher
program from aubymori to easily access UWP access even with
XP/Server 2003 shell.
- Windows Messenger now uses
CrossTalk servers (you have to sign up your account via the
website to access Windows Messenger).
- The menu scroll animation feature present
on XP and was broken since Vista has been fully fixed thanks to
Menu/Tooltip Slide Animation mod. The behavior has been set to
fade animation but you can choose the scroll animation in the
Display Properties.
- Verbose status has been disabled by default
on logon screens.
- The Projek01 Extra Pack is now included as
a separate download on the website. Originally from Aurorarion for
the Windows XP Epsilon Edition Extra Pack for Windows XP Epsilon
Edition.
- System Restore and Remote tab is mostly
recreated to have an XP layout.
Known issues:
- Windows XP Help and Support is
nonfunctional due to internal changes in starting from Internet
Explorer 9 and higher.
Unless you are using classic theme, balloon
notifications will appear square due to lack of XP common controls,
it will be fixed in the future.
The boot screen is still Windows 8+
counterpart and will be later be fixed.
Folder thumbnails mod is still a bit buggy
in this state, it's recommended to disable folder thumbnails for
now.
Display Properties applet sometimes won't
open and crash on rare cases, reapply the theme via the
C:\WINDOWS\resources\Themes\Luna.theme might fix the issue.
Pinball game looks weird because of an
weird issue with Basic Themer windhawk mod.
