Before
you install Projek01 on you're system:
Recommended
browsers and browser themes for Projek01:
It's
highly recommended to download the browser before you install Projek01
on you're computer.
Postponed changes:
- The OOBE
will be changed to use the XP OOBE (Out-of-Box Experience) in a
later update.
- AuthXP
will be replacing the aging CLH_GINA project that is currently
running in a later update.
- Seamless
Classic theme switch is delayed as there are a lot of issues right
now that can't be integrated to the release.
Changes
from Revision 4.0:
- Logon screen has been
changed to AuthUX + Longhorn logon screen with the able to
switch to MSGINA based logon screen. (Needs to switch to
Professional Edition and then MSGINA switch shortcut via start menu
to get it to work.)
- The tour balloon now
appears on the first boot.
Changes
from Public Beta Revision 3.0:
- XP
common controls has been added via Windhawk mod, thanks to
aubymori adding this.
- Folder thumbnails has been
mostly fixed.
- Display Properties should
no longer crash in this version, and has been forked to be more
faithful to XP. Tanks to neptune for making modifying these
are merging to the main git branch.
- The Open/Save dialog
crash/hang has been fixed.
- MSHTML now uses common
controls, thanks for Ingan121 implementing it.
- The logoff/shutdown
behavior is now the Windows 7 and before counterpart.
- You can now switch to
Home Edition counterpart via Start Menu, additional editions are
available on Extras Pack.
- XP Tour Balloon has been
recreated, thank to Neptune for adding this. (Enabled by
default on first boot in Revision 4.1)
- You can now upgrade to
WMP11 via Extras Pack, thanks to ImSwordQueen for the
patches.
- Explorer treeview is now
matches XP.
- ClassicExplorer and
Classic Address Bar options have been renamed to resemble XP.
- 16-bit application
incompatibility errors and invalid .exe errors now use the classic
dialog from previous versions of Windows. (Thanks to yanashubby
from World Windows Federation Discord server for making this mod.)
- Several dialogs have
received minor changes.
- Windows Movie Maker is now
about 98% functional, the title and credit preview still does not
display.
- XP's Shutdown Timer has
been recreated. Credits goes to xcomposite for the
recreation.
- The Mouse applet now
correctly opens the XP version.
- The background will always
appear even if explorer is not running.
- You can update Remote
Desktop Connection to the Windows Vista version via extra's pack by
updating to SP3. It's recommended to do so to prevent issues.
- The File copy dialog is now
the XP variant.
Known issues:
- Windows XP Help and Support is
nonfunctional due to internal changes in starting from Internet
Explorer 9 and higher.
The boot screen is still Windows
8+ counterpart, it's unknown that it will be fixed.
Pinball game looks weird because of an
weird issue with Basic Themer windhawk mod.
